Harlingen CISD’s Board of Trustees recognized Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club during their regular June board meeting. The organization gave away 72 bicycles as part of its Wheels of Learning initiative throughout the 2017-2018 school year to students at Milam, Jefferson, Wilson and Dishman Elementary.
Every month during the school year the Rotary Club donated two bikes and two helmets to be raffled off. Students earned tickets by having good attendance, grades and showing leadership.
