Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South students brought home awards from the 22nd Annual Longhorn Classic National Speech and Debate Invitational, a Texas Forensics Association event.
Harlingen High School made school history with their first team sweepstakes at the Longhorn Classic. Harlingen High School South placed 4th in the overall speech team sweepstakes.
The Harlingen High School team earned 2nd place sweepstakes with their team of 12 students. Additionally, HCISD brought home 4 Individual Events Top Speaker Awards. With over 500 students, four of the top six speech competitors at the entire tournament came from Harlingen CISD schools.
