Choirs and bands take sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest

Choirs and bands from across the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District hit the right notes at the 2013 University Interscholastic League (UIL) Concert and Sight-reading Contest.

Middle and high school music programs showed off their abilities to sight-read music at a moments notice throughout the competition, and performed for selected numbers for judges. Over 30 ensembles were named sweepstakes winners, which is the highest honor a band or choir, could receive.
