The students at Bonham Elementary School patiently held their hands in the air as they waited for their questions to be answered by the Early College High School robotics team on Oct 19.
The robotics team visited Bonham to showcase their robot, Neil 2.0. The team intends to enter Neil 2.0 in the RGV Boosting Engineering, Science & Technology (BEST) Robotics Competition.
Students were given information about the competition, the building process of Neil 2.0 and what it means to be a member of a robotics team.
The students were eager to listen, and ask how they could attend the BEST Competition. At the end of the visit, the robotics team promised to return to Bonham if they win the competition.
The RGV BEST Robotics competition will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at TSTC’s Wellness Center on Oct. 27
A total of 14 teams will be participating. HHS, HHSS and ECHS will each have a team competing for the top spot, and a chance to compete at the statewide competition.
