The Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the hiring of three positions at Tuesday night’s regular meeting.
Christie L. Esparza will be HCISD’s new Coordinator for Federal Programs. Esparza worked as an Instructional Facilitator at Sam Houston Elementary since 2009. Prior to that, she worked at Sam Houston as a teacher.
Tina Garza will be HCISD’s new Content Area Specialist for Science. Garza was a science teacher at Harlingen High School for 15 years, serving as the department chair.
The board approved Danny Villarreal to be a Construction Project Manager for HCISD’s District Operations. Villarreal worked for 25 years in the private sector at a local architectural and engineering company prior to coming to the school district.
