ACE fall 2019 registration begins

Registration for ACE, Harlingen CISD’s afterschool program, begins August 2, 2019.

ACE, funded by the Department of Education, is free for students. ACE focuses on four components: academics, enrichment, family engagement, and college and career readiness.

Your child must be enrolled at one of the following campuses to register for ACE: Lamar, Crockett, Bonham, Rodriguez, Long, Vernon, Memorial, Coakley, Vela, or Gutierrez. Only grades K-8th grade students are eligible to register for the ACE program due to the grant’s requirements.

The fall portion of the program begins August 26, 2019 and ends December 13, 2019. Bus transportation will be provided for ACE students. 

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and space is limited.

Registration for ACE at the following campuses has reached capacity and has been closed as staff reviews program applications submitted since Friday, August 5: 

Long

Bonham

Rodriguez

The deadline to register is Wednesday, August 14. Registration forms will then be reviewed by campus ACE coordinator and contact with parents will be made by phone or email to notify parents of child’s acceptance into the ACE program or if your child has been placed on a waiting list.

Once accepted into the ACE program, parents will be required to attend a mandatory ACE parent orientation before the program’s start date.

Middle School Programming Days/Times

  • 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
  • 3:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Elementary School Programming Days/Times

Monday-Friday

  • 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
