HHS cross country races past competition

The Harlingen High School Cross Country teams raced past the competition at the Los Fresnos Cross Country Meet on Aug. 31.

The HHS team was awarded first place overall with a score of 55. The team blazed past Sharyland, Los Fresnos, Brownsville Veterans and Brownsville porter to earn the spot of top competitor.

Individually, HHS Girl’s Cross Country team member Crystal Lopez placed fourth.

The next meet for the boy’s and girl’s teams will be on Sept. 7 in Mercedes.
