The Super State Chess Tournament was held at the McAllen Convention center in March.
Teams from across 15 HCISD elementary, middle schools, and high schools competed and placed.
The following teams are advancing to Nationals.
Dishman Elementary won the Primary Championship and will be attending Nationals in Baltimore, Maryland on May 12-14.
Bonham Elementary won the Elementary Championship and will be attending Nationals in Baltimore, Maryland on May 12-14.
Memorial Middle School won the Middle School Championship and will be attending Nationals in Round Rock, Texas on April 21-23.
The women’s team at Harlingen School of Health Professions won the All-Girls National Championship in September and will be attending Nationals in Chicago, Illinois on April 28-30.
