Harlingen High School senior Jazmine Thompson signed her letter of intent to join the Track and Field shot put and discuss team for Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The signing took place on November 29 at the Harlingen High School cafeteria.
Friends, family, coaches, and staff attended the signing to support and congratulate Thompson.
Thompson shared some words of advice for other athletes in pursuit of collegiate success.
“You’re always going to have hurdles, big and small, but you have to persevere,” Thompson said. “You will make it. Try hard, be driven, and listen to your coaches, teachers, and leaders around you.”
