The Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South Marching Bands were awarded for their strong performance at the Pre-Pigskin Jubilee contest on Oct. 13.
HHS was named Grand Champion. HHSS received fourth place and was awarded for best colorguard.
The next competition for both bands will be the Pigskin Jubilee hosted at Bobby Morrow Stadium on Oct. 20.
More than 10 schools from across the Rio Grande Valley will compete for the top prize.
The bands’ performances at the upcoming competition will determine if they qualify for the UIL Area Marching Contest on Oct. 27.
