The Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District announces the delay of the start of school for Tuesday, January 16 and Wednesday, January 17 due to inclement weather.
Elementary School Start Time: 9:45 a.m.
Middle School Start Time: 9:45 a.m.
Harlingen High High School and Harlingen South Start Time: 10:15 a.m.
Cano Freshman Academy Start Time: 10:20 a.m.
Harlingen School of Health Professions Start Time: 10:15 a.m.
UTRGV Harlingen Collegiate High Start Time: 10:00 a.m.
Secondary Alternative Center Start Time: 10:30 a.m.
- All bus schedules will be delayed two hours.
- The school day will end at the usual time.
- Light breakfast will be available for students.
- The January Regular Board Meeting will resume; however, all student recognitions have been postponed.
- No before or after school athletic activities will take place on Monday and Tuesday. All athletic activities will resume Wednesday evening.
- H.E.L.P and ACE programs will continue to run for families needing after school services. These programs and all other school activities will conclude no later than 6:00 p.m.
Harlingen CISD will continue to monitor the weather. We will notify all families should there be any updates via ParentSquare, our HCISD webpage, and district social media platforms.

- Los horarios de los autobuses tendrán un retraso de dos horas.
- el horario de clases finalizará a la hora habitual.
- Serviremos un desayuno ligero a los estudiantes.
- la Junta de enero de la Mesa Directiva Escolar se llevará a cabo sin cambio; sin embargo, todos los reconocimientos estudiantiles fueron reprogramados.
- No habrá actividades deportivas antes o después de clases el lunes y martes. Todas las actividades deportivas se reanudarán el miércoles por la noche.
