The Harlingen High School Big Red Cardinal Band and Harlingen High School South Mighty Hawk Band brought their marching season to a spectacular close at the 73rd Pigskin Jubilee on October 17 in San Benito, Texas.

The Big Red Cardinal Band and Mighty Hawk Band both earned Division 1 ratings. This marks the 19th consecutive year for HHS and 14th consecutive year for HHSS winning top honors in the annual contest.

A Rio Grande Valley tradition, Pigskin was well attended by area high school marching bands. Class 6A schools located between Weslaco and San Benito competed at Bobby Morrow Stadium in San Benito, while 4A, 5A and 6A schools from Alamo to Roma competed at the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) Stadium in Pharr, Texas.
