HCISD celebrates Instructional Facilitators’ Day

instructional_facil_day

For their work to assist all campuses, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School Districts celebrates its second annual Instructional Facilitators’ Day on Feb. 21.

With a presence on every campus, the mission of an Instructional Facilitator is to provide teachers with instructional support, and furnish students with appropriate activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

They fulfill this mission by continually working with teachers and administration to develop goals for their classroom and discussing effective teaching models. They also serve as the campus’ resource when it comes to state testing by keeping current on the guidelines, terminology and format.

Throughout the day, which is celebrated the third Friday of each February, campuses show their appreciation through different events and messages of gratitude.
