During their special board meeting on May 19, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees approved Melissa Nieto for the position of Director for Human Services – Secondary Education.
With over 20 years of experience in education, Nieto previously served as the Director for Human Resources at Weslaco Independent School District. Throughout her career she has also served as an elementary principal, instructional facilitator and elementary educator.
She holds a master’s degree in Education, Reading, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management from the University of Texas Pan-American.
