Members of Leadership Harlingen came together to learn more about the Harlingen community and celebrate education at their monthly meeting on Oct. 11.
The meeting was hosted by the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. Dr. Arturo Cavazos, deputy superintendent for transformation and school support, presented information regarding HCISD’s recent transformational components, which included the School of Health Professions, Dual Language Academies and the Ninth Grade Academy.
After the initial gathering, the group visited Travis Elementary School and Harlingen High School to tour the campuses and visit with students in their classrooms.
Leadership Harlingen is a group of diverse community members that possess a vested interest in the Harlingen community, and have been identified as trailblazers in their respective areas.
