The Human Resources and Technology department at the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District were in the spirit of giving on Dec. 20.
Instead of exchanging gifts with each other this holiday, the departments decided to donate gifts to help those in need at HCISD. Federal Programs identified families around the district, and the departments collected enough gifts to give to every family.
It is the first year they participate in donating gifts, but they all agree that it will now be a tradition for the holiday season.
