For Harlingen High School South seniors, Danielle Stillman and Andrea Alaniz, their work to maintain excellence in the classroom and on the tennis court will continue after they graduate this May.
Stillman and Alaniz signed their letters of intent to play tennis at the collegiate level on April 8.
Stillman will attend Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. Alaniz will travel to play for Tiffen University in Ohio.
Administration, teachers and students came out to share the excitement in the HHSS gymnasium.
The student-athletes’ next competition will be in San Antonio for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Individual Tennis Regionals on April 16. Their performance at this event determines if they qualify for the state tournament later this year.
