HHSS seniors celebrate the holidays

The senior class at Harlingen High School South took time to come together and celebrate the holidays on Dec. 11.

The class of 2013 met in the school’s cafeteria to mix and mingle at their annual Winter Social.

While partaking in the after school  festivities, the seniors enjoyed listening to Christmas music and decorating. To put their craft skills to the test, they also created their very own Christmas stocking to take home.

The student class officers planned and funded the event, which for the first time was themed.  The theme of this year’s social was tacky Christmas sweater. Seniors were encouraged to wear their most outrageous sweaters. Individuals with the tackiest sweaters were selected to compete for prizes.

This is the fifth year the senior class has participated in the celebration.
