The Harlingen High School Information Literacy Center hosted a mock election, which allowed students from various classes to take part in the voting process on Nov. 2.

Library Media Specialists provided students with iPads to access applications that informed them of the electoral process as well as the candidates.

After processing the presented information, each student was able to exercise his or her civic obligation by casting a vote.

Mock elections are just one of the activities present during Election Week at the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District.

Election Week is a way to educate students on their importance in the voting process. It will be held during the last week of October and part of the first week of November.
