Harlingen Stingrays continue success in high-school Special Olympics Bowling Competition

The excitement continued as student-athletes came together Monday, November 7, at Creasey’s Bowl in Harlingen to compete in the Area 1 Special Olympics Bowling Competition for students 16 and older.

Among the competing teams were Harlingen CISD otherwise known as the Harlingen Stingrays, San Benito ISD, Raymondville ISD, Rio Hondo ISD, Lyford ISD, Mercedes Co-Op and Educare Harlingen.

Special Olympics Texas is a year-round movement, holding more than 300 competitions annually at the area, regional and state levels. Event divisions are based on age, gender and ability level to give athletes an equal chance to win.
