Treasure Hills Elementary School and the Harlingen Police Department partnered in trumpeting the Anti-Drug message on Oct. 30.

Students listened as two HPD officers warned the students about the dangers of drugs. The students were also informed of the functions of the tools police officers use on a daily basis.

The highlight of the presentation, however, was when students stepped through the Harlingen PD Critical Response Humvee and Dodge Charger.

The presentation, which occurred during Red Ribbon Week, emphasized the importance and need for students not only to say no to drugs and alcohol, but also to safely get away from anyone who might offer them.

Red Ribbon Week took place Oct. 22 -31.
