Gutierrez Middle School sixth-grade students Cadence Carpio and Natalie Gonzales were chosen to sing with the 2016 Texas Choral Directors Association Elementary Honor Choir.
About 700 fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade choir students auditioned earlier this school year through the TCDA website. Results were released in April, naming the 170 students with the best auditions to the Elementary Honor Choir.
Carpio and Gonzales will showcase their musical talents as they sing Soprano with other top vocalists from across the state.
The Choir will perform in San Antonio on July 23 under the direction of Oklahoma Director Sandy Knudson.
