Gutierrez Middle School and the Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club are teaming up to bring students the first EarlyAct club in Harlingen.
EarlyAct provides young students the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the community and world. Character building activities are also emphasized to prepare them for leadership positions and to carry out projects that will impact the community.
The Harlingen Sunburst Rotary Club will be sponsoring the campus club and will provide organizational support.
The club’s charge is to provide the foundation and smooth transition into Interact, which is the high school equivalent to the EarlyAct program. Both Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South have an Interact Program.
EarlyAct is available for students ages five to 13.
