I plan to attend the University of Texas at Dallas and major in Biomedical Engineering. I hope to become involved in research opportunities and get an internship. After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I’m looking to get matriculated into a medical school. My goal is to get an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and then pursue an MD degree. I am a recipient of the Academic Excellence Scholarship.

“I am going to be entering UT Austin with a major in Public Relations, because I’ve always been drawn to language and the arts of rhetoric and such, but lately I’ve felt a lot of pull back toward chemistry! Obviously we have to take it in high school, but we all get to choose our 4th science to take at the college, and I chose college chemistry and I’ve missed it ever since. So, because of this, I’ve been seriously contemplating applying for an internal transfer into biochemistry next year, so hopefully I can finish off college with a bachelors of science and arts to be able to utilize the communications credits I earn in the mean time.”

“I plan to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio and major in Medical Humanities because it will prepare me for medical school. I am a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship at UTSA and The Knights of Columbus Scholarship. I would like to say to my class that it is so hard to say goodbye because we are all so close, but I am excited to see what the future holds for all of us. Just try your hardest in everything you do and hopefully we see each other in the future.”

“I plan to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio and major in Medical Humanities because I want to go to medical school. I really look up to doctors and I want to be a surgeon and I feel that this major would help me get there. I received the Presidential Honor Scholarship from UTSA, The Knights of Columbus Scholarship. I would like to say to my class to always keep your head up and focus on the goal because that’s what gets you to the end.”

“I will be attending the University of North Texas Denton and major in Education. I believe teachers are super influential. It would be amazing to be a part of a child’s life and make an impact. My goal is to help promote education and the importance of it. I received the Greater Texas Grant at UNT. I also received Raul Tijerina scholarship. I also receive the PEO STAR scholarship. I live by the words that it’s all going to be alright. So in the moment it might seem stressful but at the end, everything will work itself out if you stay in the right path.”

“I will attend University of Texas at Dallas and major in Information Technology and Systems. My dad told me about businesses needing more resources to process information. Since it’s a math major and business, I was attracted to it. Just keep in mind that we still have a long way to go, we are not done. We have to get through a university setting.”

“I plan to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in Business and Russian. I hope to go into international business in the future. Some words of advice to my class mates would be keep your procrastination at bay and focus on time management. I earned a scholarship from the McComb School of Business at UT.”

“I will attend the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley and major in Exercise Science and hopefully become a doctor of physical therapy. I chose this field accompanying my grandmother who has multiple sclerosis to rehab. I saw how specialists helped a lot of people. My advice for my classmates would be to always be responsible. Always have your priorities straight and education should be number one.”
