Bowie Elementary School students and their parents had a fun filled evening bonding and learning together on Feb. 7.
Kindergarten through fifth grade students part of the Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) program attended ACE Family Board Game Night at Bowie.
Parents and students played board games and had the chance to catch up. The activity gave parents and students an opportunity to learn various math and social skills in a entertaining way.
Mrs. Romero, Bowie ACE coordinator says, “This is a monthly event that allows parents to take hands- on participation in their child’s education, and gives students a chance to show off what they are learning.”
ACE Family Board Game Night is enrichment activity part of the Texas afterschool Program, ACE, used to bring together families and assist students in their academics along with knowledge about college and the workforce.
