“My top three choices are Rice University, St. Edwards University, and Our Lady of the Lake. I will be majoring in political science. I am the recipient of the presidential excellence scholarship for both St. Edwards and Our Lady of the Lake. I plan to go into politics later down the road. First I’d like to come back home and run for something local and then work my way up. I’d like to thank my parents and my family for pushing me and telling me that I can do something great.”

“After high school, I will be attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. I will be majoring in biochemistry on their pre-medical track. I have received the Deans’ Gold Scholarship from Baylor. I want to become a general surgeon. I’ve liked the medical field since the ninth grade. I learned about the heart and all the different muscles it has. I got to see a surgery two weeks ago through HOSA Club at HHS. I would like to thank my parents. They’ve always motivated me to keep trying, to believe in myself, and never give up.”

“I will be attending the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. I will likely major in something like physics or engineering. When you graduate the Naval Academy you’re commissioned as an officer for five years. Past that if I don’t continue a career as a naval officer, I could see myself as a politician or someone working for NASA or a business person. I have a lot of ideas. I would like to give a shout out to the entire school board, my speech, drama, and debate coach who was one of the first people to believe I could be a more successful student, that I could be more confident, and a better speaker.”

“I will be attending Texas A&M University. I will be majoring in business. I’m the recipient of a couple local scholarships. I’m planning to work at Walt Disney World in management. As a little girl we would go often so for me that is always something I have wanted to do. That’s my goal. I’d like to thank my family, but I’d like to give a big thank you to my grandma. She came over from Mexico at such a young age. She was affected by Polio and she never let that stop her. She worked through it and gave a great life to my mom who in turn created a great life for me.”
